Art can make your kid better communicator by focusing the mind on details they may miss otherwise. Amy Herman, art historian and lawyer who teaches “The Art of Perception” to NYC cops, CIA and FBI agents, applies the same principles at home. In an article for The Smithsonian, she shares how discussing art as well as everything else kids experience on a daily basis around them, trains their mind. It allows them to uncover the most effective communication style to describe what they see, how they feel and the details they observe. This has a huge payout in the future – at school and in their careers later on. • Browse available art and kids activities around you.

Look for a diverse group when you take a course or when you gather people for brainstorming session. According to research, people in those diverse groups feel more uncomfortable, and that discomfort motivates them to do extra preparation and share new information. • Browse available group courses around you.

Do you want to buy happiness? Science says you can – buy experiences not material things. “Our experiences are a bigger part of ourselves than our material goods,” says Gilovich in his studies into the Easterlin Paradox. “You can really like your material stuff. You can even think that part of your identity is connected to those things, but nonetheless they remain separate from you. In contrast, your experiences really are part of you. We are the sum total of our experiences. Another reason is that shared experiences connect us more to other people than shared consumption.” Gilovich then poses the question: “As a society, shouldn’t we be making experiences easier for people to have?” • We, at GloberWeb believe we absolutely should. In fact, that IS our mission – we make it easy to discover experiences and participate in them. • Browse the available activities around you.
